Applications
For those aeration applications where the mixing energy requirement is greater than the aeration requirement, the AquaDDM® mixer will provide mixing more efficiently than a combined aeration/mixing device. This may result in considerable energy savings while providing greater flexibility of operation.
Examples where an AquaDDM mixer can play a key role include: activated sludge systems, anoxic systems, back-mixing, biomass conditioning, biomass suspension, denitrification basins, directional mixing,equalization, MixAir® systems, neutralization, SBR systems and storm flow basins.

The AquaDDM mixer has proven to be a very versatile mixer.

Options
Directional Flow Assembly - converts downward vertical flow to a horizontal flow. Ideal for long, narrow tanks and oxidation ditches. Directional flow greatly reduces or eliminates short circuiting of the basin, and eliminates dead spots.
Anti-Erosion Plate - used in earthen basins. The plate is installed without dewatering the basin and is suspended from the float directly below the discharge volute. AquaDDM mixers are used for anoxic mixing at this facility in Colorado, USA.
