The economical and effective treatment of industrial and municipal wastewaters continues to be a great challenge. Aqua-Aerobic Systems, Inc. has risen to meet this challenge by offering another alternative treatment method utilizing the MSBR® process.
By integrating and capitalizing on the positive features of two proven treatment methods, the continuous flow activated sludge process has been effectively combined with Sequencing Batch Reactor technology to yield the MSBR process.
This is accomplished by unique process design and flow control systems that interconnect reactor zones which have been engineered and designed to achieve desired levels of treatment.

Benefits:
No need for Separate Structures
The MSBR process embodies the entire activated sludge treatment method without the need for separate dedicated final clarifiers, structures and pipe work. This provides excellent land use at lower installed costs.
Unique Flow through System
This system interconnects multiple reactor zones in such a way as to isolate the various treatment modes. Superior effluent quality, often associated only with SBRs,is continually achieved.
Basin Configuration Optimized
The fact that flow is continuous and held at constant water level further optimizes the aspects of basin configuration and tank utilization.
Existing Aeration Equipment Can Be Used
It is often possible to utilize existing surface mechanical aeration in a retrofit to the MSBR process. New construction or retrofit MSBR systems may use Aqua-Jet®aerators or diffused aeration.
